Le Laboratoire de Protéomique et Médecine de Précision vise à appliquer la protéomique basée sur la spectrométrie de masse (MS) pour comprendre la santé et les maladies de l’homme. L'étude du protéome des patients, intégrée aux données cliniques, pourrait conduire à l'amélioration du diagnostic et la stratification des patients, contribuant ainsi au développement et au déploiement de la médecine de précision.

Au cœur de l'un des principaux hôpitaux de recherche en France, le Laboratoire de Recherche en Protéomique Translationnelle développe des approches innovantes en protéomique translationnelle, visant à les appliquer à la recherche clinique et à les transférer dans les pratiques cliniques.

L'interaction dynamique entre le Laboratoire de Recherche en Protéomique Translationnelle et la Plateforme Protéomique de Necker permet de mettre à la disposition de toutes les équipes de recherche une technologie de pointe.

1. Protéomique de précision pour des maladies spécifiques. Nous travaillons actuellement sur des approches protéomiques innovantes pour :

 

   a. trouver des biomarqueurs prédictifs de réponse au traitement chez les patients    atteints de la mucoviscidose en analysant le protéome de la sueur ;

   b. comprendre les mécanismes de la myéloméningocèle pour améliorer la thérapie cellulaire prénatale par l'analyse du liquide amniotique ;

   c. comprendre l'épilepsie focale en étudiant le LCR et les biopsies cérébrales afin de mieux stratifier les patients et personnaliser leur traitement ;

   d. trouver des biomarqueurs pour prédire la réponse au traitement des patients atteints de cystinurie en étudiant le protéome de l'urine et les exosomes qu'elle contient.

2. Analyse universelle du protéome du plasma pour établir un profilage quantitatif personnalisé (BloodID). Le profilage BloodID comprendra les protéines plasmatiques solubles ainsi que les vésicules extracellulaires circulantes, miroir du protéome cellulaire. Nous croyons que BloodID permettra le suivi de la santé des individus et, à terme, pourra etre transféré dans la pratique clinique.
